With the advent of real fall weather I feel that I am finally waking up from a long, fuzzy, and HOT hibernation.
I therefore feel that it is appropriate to wake the blog.
Soon there will be pictures of our new house to share, but first I have to take some.
More to come soon.

I’ve been reading a lot about creativity lately, which may be why I can’t produce any creative thoughts.
But I have accomplished some important, albeit uncreative, things like: finishing my grad school app, securing at least one summer job (hopefully more to come), and washing three loads of dishes (definitely more to come with those).
My sister is chillin’ for the week in Park City, Utah. I’m so jealous.

Just like everybody else.
Still have my eyes out for a new pair of shoes, but I’m feeling a little bit better today. We have a nice misty rain going on (it is waaaaay too warm for snow), and I’m enjoying today’s readings with a tunafish sandwich and a cup of tea. My course load this quarter is as heavy or heavier than ever, but I keep reminding myself that the end is in sight. At least, I hope it is.

Well, I’ve been thinking a lot, but only blogging a little. It makes me feel behind, like I have to catch up with the first things before I move on to the new things. I guess I sometimes I get that way with literature; I feel like there are so many wonderful old books to be read that trying to read something contemporary is like jumping ahead. But then I do read contemporary works and I’m almost always glad when I have.
It was good to be with family and friends over the holiday, even if it was insane and even if we didn’t get to see everyone or get to spend as much time with people as we would have liked (sorry!). We slept terribly on my parents’ floor, but ate wonderfully. So wonderfully that I am headed for a diet after realizing that I have gained ten pounds in our first 1.5 years of marriage. Ouch.
