Right. Well.
Things are happening, but on the whole, purgatory continues. I guess that sometimes we underestimate the importance of the home-base, because frankly, not having one is killing the Kerr-Owens family. My parents are still graciously sheltering us while we daily change our minds about the housing situation. We’ve put another offer on a house, but I’ve put my foot down to say that if it doesn’t work out (rather immediately) we’re just getting an apartment: no ands, ifs, or buts. My parents, who apparently were Spartans in their previous lives, get along without central air-conditioning or a dishwasher and this adds to the general ethos of misery. However, both of us are enjoying our work, which helps a little.
