Green Tea for my Soul

It’s been a long week.

Now that I’m writing papers a little less, I’m trying to blog a little more. We’ll see how it goes… as usual, I make no promises (To anyone. Ever. Except to love my husband and pay my credit card off every month).

We’ve been a bit bogged down lately. Administrative transitions (aka: DD packing up his family and moving from Oakhurst to Big Bear Lake) wound up leaving me and Lamar (mostly just Lamar) in charge of the camp for a few weeks, which, as you can imagine, was a bitch. The camp hasn’t run efficiently for as long as anyone can remember, and you can image the chaos that comes from introducing five new summer-staffers, really cantankerous guests, and the two of us trying to keep the whole ship from sinking. I’ve been pretty cranky. Ok, really cranky. But after a nice dinner in our own kitchen, a glass of wine, and two naps in one day… I’m feeling a little better about my life. Also, Michelle dyed my hair brown. I’m feeling pretty good about that, too.

Oh yeah, Lamar passed his first kidney stone yesterday.

It’s been a long week.
