I stumbled across Zen Habits a few months ago because the author had written a good article on vegetarianism. Turns out, he’s written a lot of good articles. He writes on things like productivity, budgeting, cleaning, diet, exercise, and generally, becoming a better human being. It’s all about simplicity and minimalism. Check it out sometime, you just might like it.

it’s funny, I agree with everything he says. I like geting up early and when I am living frugally I am feel much more at peace. Problem is that his critics are right–it’s not as much fun. I like the hedonist life just a little too much. I think it is important to find a balance between the two, find where each side can compromise and live comfortably in that peace. This, too, is not as easy as simply writing about it.
I like his articles, he has very good ideas and wonderful insights. Thank you for making me more aware, I think I shall keep reading.

Liz, I’m glad you like it.
Caleb, I’m pretty well convinced that your Dionysian tendencies, contrasted with my Apollonian mentality, is what makes us find the other so completely fascinating, yet keeps us thankful we’re ourselves, not the other.
